2. Run self-extractable installation binary
After the software downloads, go to the destination folder and click the self-extractable executable to begin the installation process. A setup wizard will guide you through the rest of the installation process. A program group and program icon will be created automatically for you, no icons will be added to the desktop.
3. Start the application
To launch the application select the "SilverCreek" icon from the program group located at
Start -> All Programs -> SilverCreek Evaluation XX->Run SilverCrek Test Suites

1. Download and extract software package
2. Run install.sh scripts
You will need an X Windows server running to finish installation. You can start the installation by moving to the extracted directory (e.g., sc8.0-linux) and then run the following command:
%cd scdemo8.0-linux
% ./install.sh
The installation script will start a setup wizard to guide you through the rest of the installation process. Note the installation process requires Unix "zcat" utility.
3. Start the application
To start SilverCreek move to the installed target directory (e.g., /home/mary/silvercreekDE8.0) and initiate the application like following:
% bin/test-agent

SilverCreek application can be installed on a Redhat Linux or Fedora Linux workstation (i386 32 bit), or a PC running MS Windows and works in a TCP/IP network environment. SilverCreek can communicate with and test any SNMP agent on the network provided the necessary access information is available to the user and the SNMP agent is alive. For testing multiple products, or for a lab environment, the Workgroups Server is recommended.
